Michael Peppard - President and Director
With a background in Zoology (B.Sc.) and Restoration Ecology, Michael first joined the BCCP in 2000 as the project coordinator, joining the board in 2002 as he went on to work with other organizations in the Toronto area. Michael has been pleased to support the efforts of the organization in his role as President for the past year and looks forward to assisting with the continued good works of the BCCP.
Susan Horvath - Vice President
Member since 1994. She has a background in Computer Systems (B.A.) and a lifelong interest in the environment. Susan maintains and organizes our records.
Charlcie Stickley - Treasurer and Director
Member since 1990 and our financial expert. Member of the Royal Canadian Legion (secretary and past president) and also member of the Humber Heritage Committee
Stephen Joudrey - Secretary and Director
Possesses a B.Sc. in Biology and Environmental Science. Worked as BCCP Coordinator from 2002 - 2004. Joined the Board of Directors in 2005. Currently works for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority as a Conservation Land Planning Technician. Passionate about ecological restoration, also volunteers with other community based environmental organizations including the Friends of Highland Creek, and the Board of Directors of LEAF (Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests).
Barbara Scott - Director
Member since the mid 1980s, Barb is our bird and photographic expert and often leads outdoor classes and walks.
Ian Wheal - Director
Member since 1995 and our historical expert. Active in environmental and historical organization and often leads walks in Toronto parks and neighborhoods.
Gaspar Horvath - Project Coordinator
Gaspar is a Professional Forester by education and training with extensive experience in informal education programs and volunteer community activities. Gaspar holds a Diploma in Environmental Assessment (Lakehead), B.Sc. in Forestry (Lakehead) and a M.Sc. in Environmental Biology (Guelph). He has over 25 years of experience of international forestry and environmental remediation activities.
